The dancers also present historical and social information about each period, celebrating the artistry of Valentino and Astaire to Carmen Miranda and Madonna, in an explosion of non-stop action.

Symmetry in Motion: Baroque Dance

The court of King Louis XIV is brought to life with elegant and decorative costumes, powdered wigs, and beautiful music, all helping to create an engaging look at the earliest forms of Ballet. Audiences will marvel at the delicacy and intricacy of Baroque dance while learning about corsets, hoop skirts, fan language, Baroque dance notation, symmetry, and patterns. The glorious music of Vivaldi, Lully, Marais, and Telemann accompany the dancers as they present the Minuet, Contredanse, Allemande, Folies d'Espagne, and Gigue.
